Helping Harvest Hope

(WOLO) COLUMBIA, S.C., — Harvest Hope Needs Volunteer Groups to Help Sort More Than 73,000 Pounds of Food Collected During Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive The Columbia Harvest Hope Food Bank collected 73,988 pounds of food alone but now is short handed getting people to help them get it on their once empty shelves. Harvest Hope‘s Product Rescue division has already started inspecting the food, and will need groups of volunteers over the next week to help complete this enormous undertaking. Equally, Harvest Hope has several other volunteer projects that provide direct and immediate food to struggling families in our community and volunteer groups are needed for those projects as well. Please contact Harvest Hope‘s Volunteer Coordinator Sarah Bouknight at 803.254.4432. ext.1112, or at sbouknight@harvesthope.org to find out how your office, church group, student group or civic organization can help.
