Mourners in Columbia Honor Reverend Simmons Charleston Victim

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Mourners gather for Reverend Daniel Simmons funeral. Simmons funeral is the last of the funerals for the nine victims of the Charleston church shootings. The service for the Rev. Daniel Simmons Sr. is at Bethel AME Church in Columbia. He will be buried at the Fort Jackson National Military Cemetery. An Army veteran, Simmons was a minister at several AME churches in the state. He was a graduate of Allen University and received a master’s degree from the University of South Carolina.
