Senate takes up Debate on Confederate Flag

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–The South Carolina Senate has begun debate on the Confederate Flag. Senators began debate around 10:30am Monday morning. Among the debate lawmakers taking to the podium: Democratic Senator Vincent Sheheen who drafted the bill to remove the flag says Lawmakers need to pass it because it’s the right thing to do. Senator Martin says flag needs to be respected in historical way, is not part of states future.
