SC Governor, Lawmakers react to removal of Confederate Flag
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The House and Senate have both passed bills removing the Confederate flag, the bill now heads to Governor Nikki Haley’s desk for signing. It was a long night for House Lawmakers who debated nearly 14 hours before passing a Confederate Flag bill. With passionate please from lawmakers both for and against, the house worked into the early morning hours Thursday. Governor Nikki Haley today issued the following statement: “Today, as the Senate did before them, the House of Representatives has served the State of South Carolina and her people with great dignity.
