South Carolina Unemployment rate down in new data released

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– South Carolina’s Unemployment rate is down in new data released by the SC Department of Employment and Workforce. According to new numbers, the state‘s unemployment rate fell to 6.6 percent in June down from the May level of 6.8 percent. According to the Department of Workforce. the State’s employment level continued to improve in June as nearly 2,100 people found work. Nationally, the unemployment rate declined from 5.5 percent in May to June‘s estimate of 5.3 percent, according to the Department of Workforce.
