Florence man dies in crash Sunday morning in Eastover

EASTOVER, S.C. (WOLO) — Richland County Coroner Gary Watts is releasing the name of the individual who died Sunday morning as the result of a single vehicle crash. It occurred at approximately 2:55 a.m. at the intersection of Vanboklen and Garners Ferry Roads, Eastover, SC. Ben Christopher Cato, date of birth 9/20/1970, of Day Street, Florence, SC, died at Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital at 4:27 a.m. as a result of multiple trauma he received in the collision. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
