Storm system strengthens, becomes Tropical Storm Danny

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A system that developed over the mid-Atlantic Tuesday has become Tropical Danny. The National Hurricane Center indicates that the storm has maximum sustained winds of 50 miles an hour and is moving west at 14 miles and hour.
