Fourth suspect arrested in Pinewood attack

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — The Sumter County Sheriff‘s Office has arrested 21-year-old Joseph Henderson Jr., the fourth suspect in an alleged group attack on another man in the Pinewood area last week. Henderson surrendered to investigators Tuesday morning without incident and was charged with first-degree assault and battery. He has been transported to the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center where he will await a bond hearing. Three other suspects – 19-year-old Joshua Henderson of Sumter, 24-year-old William David Ard of Sumter and 32-year-old Mark James Floyd of Pinewood – were previously charged with first-degree assault and battery for their alleged involvement in the assault of 20-year-old man at a Pinewood residence on Sept. 15. Joshua Henderson remains in custody after bond was denied for the suspect. Both Ard and Floyd have been released from custody after a judge set bond for each suspect at $25,000.
