Lexington County Shelters Open

Lexington County opens 2 shelters The Lexington County Public Safety Emergency Management Division has requested and been approved to activate two emergency shelters for Lexington County residents affected by flooding. 1. Lexington County Leisure Center (Lexington County Recreation Commission)–108 Park Road, Lexington 29072 2. Seven Oaks Park (Irmo/Chapin Recreation Commission)–200 Leisure Lane, Columbia 29210 These two shelters are pet-friendly. However, pet owners are encouraged to bring crates for the pets and at minimum all pets are expected to be on a leash. Owners should ensure they have proof of up to date inoculations (shots), adequate food supply and supplies to clean up after their pet.
