Inmate escapes correctional facility

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – The South Carolina Department of Corrections reports an inmate walked away from a facility Thursday morning. Authorities say 26-year-old Lorenzo Patterson escaped from Walden Correctional Institution on Broad River Road. Patterson was serving a six year sentence out of Newberry County for arson officials say.
