Boil water advisory lifted for some West Columbia water customers

The City of West Columbia has lifted a boil water advisory for water customers near Old Barnwell Road

boil-water-515.jpgWEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The City of West Columbia has lifted a boil water advisory for water customers in the following areas:

  • All addresses in the 400, 500, and 600 Blocks of Old Barnwell Road
  • All addresses on Lynn Drive
  • All addresses on Bel-Air Drive
  • All addresses in the Savannah Woods Subdivision

Water customers in this area were advised to boil their water after a water line break. The water line has been repaired and water service has been restored.

Water customers may check the city of West Columbia website at www.westcolumbiasc.gov for updates on the boil water advisory.

Water customers may also contact customer service at City Hall between 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at 803.791.1880. Emergencies occurring after hours and on weekends and holidays should be reported to the West Columbia Police Department at 803.794.0721.
