Beer To Be Sold At College World Series
By Associated Press
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Beer and wine will be sold in general seating areas for the first time this year at the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, and Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City.
The NCAA said Wednesday that a waiver to the longstanding policy to sell no alcohol in general seating areas at championship events was approved last week.
Alcohol sales have been permitted in club seats and premium seats at the College World Series the last two years. General sales will take place at concession stands only, not by roving vendors.
The Women’s CWS is June 2-8 at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. The men’s CWS is June 18 through 28 or 29 at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha.
