Suspect Sought in Multiple Home Improvement Center Thefts

DeaverRICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department need the public’s help identifying a suspect wanted for shoplifting at multiple home improvement stores.

35-year-old Matthew Deaver is wanted for three counts of shoplifting after he allegedly stole electrical tools from the two Lowes locations and a Home Depot.

Officials say Deaver walked in to the Lowes located at 10106 Two Notch on Dec. 28 and took two chainsaws valued at $800 without paying for the equipment

On December 30, Deaver is accused of going to the Lowes located at 7441 Two Notch Road and stole a generator valued at $450, authorities say.

Then on January 5, Deaver allegedly went to the Home Depot located at 285 Forum Drive and stole two drill kits valued at $600.
