19-Year-Old USC Student Identified

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has released the name of the University of South Carolina student that was found dead Thursday afternoon at The HUB in downtown Columbia.

19-year-old Rachel  Bandman of Virginia was found unresponsive by a roommate after 4 p.m. Thursday, Watts said.

Bandman’s body was found at the Hub, a student housing development on Main Street.

An autopsy conducted this morning showed no signs of trauma, officials say.

The final cause and manner of death are still pending toxicology results.
