RCSD: 6 Burglary Suspects Arrested

RICHLAND COUNTY — Two separate burglaries in Richland County led to six arrests this week.

23-year-old Darius Burton, 24-year-old Xavier Anderson and 24-year-old Tevan Ashford are all charged with burglary, according to authorities.

Just before midnight Wednesday, January 27 Burton, Anderson and Ashford allegedly broke into a residence in the 8400 block of Monticello Road and fled the scene when they realized the home was occupied by the tenant.

Deputies were given a description of the vehicle that the men fled in and where able to take them in to custody following a traffic stop.

During a search of the vehicle authorities found a stolen television.

Authorities say they will also face burglary charge in Fairfield County.

In a separate case, three men are facing charges after allegedly throwing two large rocks through the front glass door window of I-David Computer located at 9300 Two Notch Road just before 3 a.m. Thursday, January 28.

40-year-old Bryon Pringle is charged with burglary, petit larceny and unlawful carrying of a firearm; 40-year-old Maurice Dunbar is charged with burglary and petit larceny and 46-year-old Michael Houston is charged with burglary are allegedly stealing two televisions each valued at $1,000.

Deputies patrolling the area, heard glass shattering and responded to the location where they saw the men fleeing the areas, but were later apprehended.

Officials say the owner of the store was inside the business during the burglary, but was unharmed.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said  that Burton, Anderson, Ashford, Pringle, Dunbar, and Houston are being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
