Former Super Bowl Champ Presents Golden Football to Lower Richland High School
HOPKINS, S.C. — Former Lower Richland High and New England Patriots Wide Receiver David Patten returned to his alma matter Friday night to deliver one of the NFL’s golden footballs to Lower Richland High School. The golden footballs are given to schools that have influenced super bowl history, in this case, Patten won three Super Bowl rings with the New England Patriots (2001, 2003, 2004). “Just to come back and instill faith and belief in this community, to let the kids see you can come out of this community and do great things, I tell you what, it’s an honor and a privilege,” said Patten Friday.
