Where Candidates Stand Before Iowa Caucuses

Final Iowa Push for Republican Democratic Presidential Candidates

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) –Today’s Iowa caucuses mark the official kickoff of the 2016 presidential nominating contests. Races are close and the money has been flowing — more than $150 million dollars of it. Republican Donald Trump has a narrow advantage over Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. For the Democrats, Bernie Sanders is on the heels of front runner Hillary Clinton. Trump and Sanders have focused on energizing supporters during appearances while Clinton and Cruz put their stock in months of intense get-out-the-vote efforts.
