(2) USC Back at Practice Saturday Before Battle with (1) UConn

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The second-ranked USC women’s basketball team was back at practice Saturday afternoon preparing for Monday night’s tilt with top-ranked UConn.

The Huskies and Gamecocks both boast perfect records this season and are a combined 44-0, the only two undefeated D-I basketball programs left.

UConn topped ECU Saturday, 92-46 to stay perfect, while USC held off Kentucky Thursday night to do the same.

“I think everybody kind of suspected that UConn would be undefeated but we were the question mark,” Staley said Saturday. “For our players to play through all of that scrutiny, I’m very proud of them for doing that.”
