Deputies: Suspect Wanted for Attempted Murder Flees
Richland County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a suspect in an attempted murder, that fled from officers Saturday night
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a suspect in an attempted murder, that fled from officers Saturday night.
Officials say they were called to Palmetto Health Richland just before midnight, in reference to a suspect, 17-year-old Tony Gilmore, wanted by RCSD for two counts of attempted murder.
Gilmore was transported to the hospital by Columbia Police after he was a victim in a robbery.
Authorities say an RCSD deputy arrived at the hospital to take Gilmore into custody. He was handcuffed behind the back and escorted out of the hospital. RCSD says as the deputy opened the car door, Gilmore ran away toward Sunset Boulevard.
