Sensory Friendly Day set for Monday at State Museum

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–Monday brings a day for families with special needs to see the South Carolina State Museum in a new light.

Monday is Sensory Friendly Day at the museum.

Officials say the day  is for visitors  to enjoy a less crowded environment, designated quiet areas, plus, light and sound reduction when possible.

According to the Museum, South Carolina students and teachers receive free admission if pre-registered with their school. To sign up as an individual or field trip through a school, call (803) 898-4999 or email group_visits@scmuseum.org. Visit scmuseum.org to learn more.
