Suspect Sought in Auburn Leaf Drive Shooting

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department are requesting the community’s help as they search for a suspect wanted for attempted murder.

Just before 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, deputies responded to the scene of a shooting at Jade Tree Road and Auburn Leaf Drive, authorities say.

The victim was a passenger in a vehicle when shots were fired at the car as it approached Auburn Leaf Drive, Sheriff Leon Lott said.

According to Sheriff Lott the victim was struck in the upper body and transported to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Investigators are searching for a silver or pewter 2006 or 2007 model Chevy pick up truck that was seen in the area.
