Drug Investigation Leaves One Man Behind Bars
KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) –Deputies say Possession of drugs and a gun landed a Camden man with a lengthy criminal history back behind bars on Friday.
During a traffic stop on Feb 12., Kershaw County Sheriff’s Deputies say they found about 15 pounds of marijuana, 17 grams of crack cocaine and 12 grams of powdered cocaine inside the Toyota Prius 30-year-old Raymond Jones, Jr. was driving.
Jones is charged with trafficking marijuana, trafficking crack cocaine (3rd offense), trafficking cocaine (3rd offense), possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, possession of a stolen pistol, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and unlawful carrying of a pistol.
Authorities also found a stolen, loaded Kel-Tec 9mm handgun in the vehicle.
Jones is being held at the Kershaw County Detention Center and remains there on a $250,000 bond.
In addition to numerous arrests for drugs, deputies say he has been arrested for failure to stop for a blue light, breach of peace, resisting arrest and driving under suspension, officials say.
