More information on arrest of USC football player

MONCK’S CORNER, S.C. (WOLO)– We have more information on what police say lead to the arrest of a University of South Carolina football player.

Monday, September 7, ABC Columbia told you, Freshman USC Tight End Caden Ramsey was accused of racing on a public road.

According to an incident report ABC Columbia obtained Tuesday, September 8, from the Monck’s Corner Police Department the responding officer witnessed Ramsey’s car and a second vehicle reaching speeds of up to 113 miles per hour.

The officer says the cars were weaving in and out of traffic.

The report also states that after Ramsey was pulled over and arrested, the incident escalated as other people approached the officer.

Additionally, according to the report, police arrested three other individuals and charged with gun violations as well as assault while resisting arrest.
