SC Department Consumer Affairs to host Consumer Protection Week
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Protecting you from identity theft, that’s just one of the goals of the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs upcoming Consumer Protection Week.
According to Consumer Affairs officials, the series of events is meant to raise awareness on consumer topics such as scams, identity theft, debt collection and more.
Among the events planned for Consumer Protection Week will be shredding your personal documents to ensure they don’t get in the hands of thieves.
SCDCA will partner with Shred360 to offer shred events across the state. Consumers should not bring more than five (5) file boxes to shred.

· Wednesday, March 9, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Regal Azalea Square Stadium 16, 215 Azalea Square Blvd., Summerville
· Friday, March 11, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
