Police: Man Struck Patrol Car While Fleeing Scene

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Authorities with the Columbia Police Department say that a man running from officers was taken the hopsital after crashing a stolen car into a tree on Caroline Road.

The case ensue when the vehicle was spotted in a Walmart parking lot on Garners Ferry Road early Friday morning.

According to CPD, the suspect struck a patrol car and another car while attempting to flee.

The suspect’s condition is not known at this time.
