Suspect Still Sought in Car Break-In, Credit Card Theft

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C (WOLO)  — Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in locating  a man wanted for two counts of financial transaction card fraud, financial transaction card theft, and auto breaking.

Police say 18-year-old Tywon Taylor went into an unattended vehicle of the victim who was assisting others affected by October’s flooding and stole several items.

Sheriff Leon Lott said that Taylor then went to the several stores on October 5 and used the victim’s credit cards to make purchases totaling $235.

Taylor made additional charges at various restaurants using the victim’s stolen credit cards; the estimated total value is close to $400, Sheriff Lott said.
