Coroner IDs Victim Killed in Electrocution Case
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — A 36-year-old man from North Carolina died after being electrocuted at a job site Friday, according to Richland County Coroner Gary Watts.
The victim has been identified as Javier Lopez-Lira, according to the coroner’s office.
Watts said Lopez-Pira was electrocuted while assisting with a road paving crew on Shadow Wood Drive in Irmo and was taken by ambulance to Palmetto Richland Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Richland County Coroner’s Office and OSHA continue to investigate.
