Two Arrested After House Search Warrant Leads to Meth
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Columbia police arrested two people after a home search in 4000 block of Woodside Haven Drive yielded methamphetamine.
John Allen Hancock IV, 41, and Katharine Kanna Hancock, 34, are both facing charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Improper Disposal of Methamphetamine Waste, authorities say.
Katharine is also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Xanax) and Simple Possession of Marijuana.
The suspects turned themselves in to CPD Investigators this morning, officials say.
Authorities say a used, one-pot meth cooking vessel, a hydrogen chloride gas generator, along with two large toolboxes containing precursors needed to manufacture meth were found during the search earlier this month.
Members of CPD’s Organized Crime and Narcotics (OCN) Unit in partnership with the SC Law Enforcement Division (SLED) assisted in the investigation.
Both suspects were transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
