81st Annual Carolina Cup Saturday

CAMDEN, SC (WOLO)– It’s off to the races in Camden as the 81st annual running of the Carolina Cup takes place Saturday.
The event is expected to draw nearly 70,000 people, say organizers.

Race goers will put on their best attire, spring hats and colorful clothes for the annual event at Springdale Race Course.

Inside the race course, organizers are expecting a large crowd, despite possible rainy conditions.
Outside the race course, local deputies will be monitoring traffic and looking for DUI.

The event is set Rain or Shine, gates open at 9am.
