SCE&G to release water from Lake Murray to aid in Swift Water Training Drills

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– SCE&G will release water from Lake Murray into the Lower Saluda River beginning Thursday. The releases will continue on April 8, 9, 15 and 16 so the Columbia Fire Department can conduct swift water training.

The water will be released as early as 5 a.m. on the scheduled days and will continue until as late as 5 p.m., say officials.

SCE&G officials say users of the Saluda River during these times are advised to use extreme caution.
