Victim Identified in Fatal Accident
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has released the name of the man who died Thursday evening after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Farrow Road and Frye Road in Columbia.
59-year-old Bookert Smith of Columbia succumbed to injuries he sustained as he was attempting to cross the roadway, Watts said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene died at the scene.
The accident occurred at 8: 30 p.m.
The Columbia Police Department continues to investigate the incident.
