Sumter Woman Accused of Making False Rape Claim
A 18-year-old Sumter woman has been charged with making a false allegation that she was raped.

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO) — Sumter Police began an investigation after receiving a report that a woman had been sexually assaulted at a residence in the 4100 block of Pond Loop Road on April 9.
18-year-old Khrista Talbott told officers she had been raped, investigators say the incident did not happen.
She was arrested on April 12 and has been charged with filing a false police report.
Talbott was also charged with resisting arrest after authorities say she repeatedly pulled away from officers.
