Suspect Sought in Botched Church Burglary
ORANGEBURG, SC (WOLO) – A suspect is wanted by the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office after attempting to break into a church in Branchville.
Officials with the department say security video at McBranch Baptist Church shows a male being dropped off by a pickup truck just before midnight on April 27.
The male is then seen approaching the rear of the Hoghaven Road facility where he entered a storage shed after prying open the doors, officials say.
At one point, authorities say the subject appears to cover his head and run off after observing one of the security cameras at the church.
The suspect left empty-handed.
