Remember Walter Scott? Remember the passionate plea to outfit police with body cameras? The call was answered swiftly by SC State House lawmakers with the passage of a bill requiring all police and sheriff’s departments to implement body cameras?

One problem as explained by one sheriff and echoed by others: “Everybody felt good last year when we passed it, but there wasn’t the teeth in it and there wasn’t the money behind it.”
