Justice Department to seek Death Penalty in Dylann Roof Case

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Federal Prosecutors announced Tuesday they will seek the Death Penalty against accused Charleston Church Shooter Dylann Roof.

In a statement released to ABC Columbia News Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch says “Following the department’s rigorous review process to thoroughly consider all relevant factual and legal issues, I have determined that the Justice Department will seek the death penalty.
The nature of the alleged crime and the resulting harm compelled this decision.”
