Stroman To Transfer From USC
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Frank Martin’s Gamecock basketball roster continues to be a work in progress. Point guard Marcus Stroman is the latest player to transfer from the program.
The former Keenan High School standout was one of five players suspended from the team before last year’s NIT appearance. Last season as a sophomore, Stroman averaged 2.3 and 2 rebounds per game backing up freshman point guard P.J. Dozier. Stroman averaged 4.3 points and 2 rebounds per game as a freshman at USC.
The 2016-17 Carolina roster will be full of new players for Martin. Along with losing his senior starting frontcourt, Martin has had four players transfer this offseason. Guard Jamall Gregory and forward Eric Cobb were kicked off the team after being arrested for a BB gun incident and cited for marijuana possession. Forward Raymond Doby was also cited for marijuana possession and decided to leave USC.
