Police: Suspect Gets Ride from Store, Then Robs Driver

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A man is wanted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department after he allegedly robbed a victim that provided him with a ride from the convenience store.

Authorities say just before 3 a.m. on Thursday, June 2 in the 800 Block of Beatty Road,  the suspect stole the victim’s cellphone and credit cards at gunpoint after the victim provided the suspect with a ride from the Stop and Go located at 3536 Kay Street.

The suspect is in his late teens early 20’s, wearing a black hoodie and black jeans, authorities say.
