Police: Trio Arrested After Tip Leads Authorities to Crime In Progress
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A concerned citizen’s tip lead authorities to a Warner Drive business were a trio was allegedly trying to steal a trailer.
Lamar Langley, 33 , Jeremy Mickle, 35 , and Ronnie Davis, 34, are charged with grand larceny.
Police say Langley, Mickle and Davis went to Blooming and Grooming Landscape on June 30 after a concerned citizen notified law enforcement about suspicious activity at the business.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered the lock cut to the gate of the business and a U-Haul truck backed inside the fence.
Langley, Mickle, and Davis fled the business, but were caught a short time later with the assistance of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department K9 Unit, authorities say.
The men allegedly attempted to steal an enclosed $4,000 trailer that had $2,000 worth of lawn equipment inside.
Langley, Mickle, and Davis have been transported to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
