COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Before the kids head back to class, they can head to the South Carolina State Museum as part of a special deal.

According to Museum officials: Through August 14, kids under 12 years old receive free general admission to the South Carolina State Museum. Families can spend the last two weeks before school starts in the cool, air-conditioned museum and escape the famously hot temperatures. With our four floors of permanent and changing exhibits, Rev. Dr. Solomon Jackson, Jr. 4D Theater*, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Planetarium* and the Boeing Observatory there’s guaranteed to be something fun for all kids to beat the summer heat and chase those back to school blues away.
