No Further Action Taken Against RCSD Deputy Who Allegedly Removed Campaign Signs

rcsdlogo.jpgRICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The case against a Richland County Sheriff’s Department captain accused of removing campaign signs, has been closed.

In a release sent Tuesday, Lt. David Lawrence with SLED Midlands Region said, “The case involving an allegation that Richland County Sheriff’s Department captain Dave McRoberts improperly removed a campaign sign is closed and SLED will be taking no action on this matter.

McRoberts was accused of vandalizing the signs of a candidate who challenged Sheriff Leon Lott in the primary.
