Orangeburg Co. Investigators Need Help In Armed Robbery Case

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO) – Authorities with the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office need the public’s help in gathering information about a robbery that occurred last month at a St. Matthews Road convenience store.

Officials say the victim told police she was sitting in her car after pumping gas around 7:30 p.m. on July 27 at the Shell/Burger King store when a male approached her, demanding money.

The victim reported that the suspect lifted his shirt and revealed a handgun.

The suspect allegedly stole the victim’s cell phone and some cash before leaving in a red Toyota Camry that had front end damage, police say.

The victim told police that there were two other men in the vehicle, which left traveling toward Orangeburg on St. Matthews Road.

The gunman is described as a black male wearing blue jean shorts and wearing a black bandana over his face.
