Lexington Woman Killed in Hit and Run on Millwood Avenue

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – A Lexington woman died after a hit and run at the intersection of Millwood Avenue and King Street in Columbia Saturday evening, around 7:30 p.m.

The Richland County coroner has identified the victim as Evona Williams, 59.

Columbia Police Department investigators have arrested Gary Robinson, 34. Robinson is charged with hit and run resulting in death, failure to render aid and driving under suspension.

The vehicle Robinson is accused of driving, a rental car, was located on Middleton Street this morning. The car has been seized as evidence by CPD.
