One Dead After Crashing Car Into N. Myrtle Beach Church
North Myrtle Beach, S.C. (WPDE) — At least one person has died after an early morning wreck in Horry County.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol say the crash happened around 3 a.m. Thursday on Little River Neck Road.
Pat Dowling, spokesperson for the city, said a male driver in a Ford Explorer was traveling north on the road at a high rate of speed when he ran off the right side of the road, over corrected and ran into a church.
The wreck caused a 15-foot by 10-foot hole in the south wall of Macedonia AME Church, Dowling said.
The wreck is still under investigation.
