School Dismissals/Closings due to Hermine
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Due to the path of Hermine headed towards the South Carolina Coast, and with the potential for heavy rain in the Midlands, there are some cancellations and changes for area schools.
Richland One schools will dismiss early. Elementary schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m . Middle schools 1:00 p.m. High schools at 12:15 p.m.
Richland School District Two will operate on a half-day : Middle schools will dismiss at 10:45 a.m. Elementary schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. High schools will dismiss at 12:15 p.m.
Kershaw County School District (KCSD) will operate on a half-day. Elementary schools dismiss at 11 a.m., middle schools 11:15 a.m. high schools11:30 a.m.
Sumter School District schools will dismiss early on Friday. Elementary schools will dismiss at 11 AM, middle schools will dismiss at 11:30 AM and high schools will dismiss at 12 PM.
Lexington-Richland School District Five early release. Intermediate Schools 11:30 a.m. Elementary schools 11:45 a.m. The Academy for Success will release at 12:30 p.m. The Center for Advanced
Technical Studies and Spring Hill High School will release at 12:45 p.m. and all other middle and high schools will
release at 1:00 p.m.
Lexington One Early Dismissal . Elementary schools will dismiss Fridayat 11 a.m., while middle and high schools will dismiss at noon.
Lexington School District 2 will begin dismissing its high school and middle school students at 11:00 a.m. Elementary school students at 12:00 noon
Lexington 3 schools on the following schedule: B-L Primary will dismiss at10:30 a.m.; B-L Elementary will dismiss at 10:45 a.m.; B-L High will dismiss at11:10 a.m.; and B-L Middle will dismiss at 11:20 a.m
Newberry County Elementary Schools will dismiss at 12:30 pm and all Middle and High Schools will dismiss at 1:00 pm
Schools in Orangeburg Consolidated School District Five (OCSD5) will be closed on Friday, September 2, 2016.
Orangeburg School District 3 closed Friday, September 2, 2016.
South Carolina State University will be closed Friday, September 2, 2016.
Calhoun County Schools will be closed.
