COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)-A Decision has been handed down from the Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s office on the fate of a former deputy who made national headlines with a viral video.
Ben Fields made headlines in the video showing him slamming a Spring Valley Student to the ground in class.
Fields will not face criminal charges, neither will the two students involved in the case, Those findings released from the Fifth Circuit Solicitor Dan Johnson.
Johnson says “upon review of evidence, Offier Fields actions do not warrant criminal charges.
Fields was fired right after the incident by Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott.
