September 11th Remembrance in Chapin

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– As the 15th anniversary of September 11th arrives, many in the midlands are taking time out to remember 9/11.

The Chapin Town Council will designate Sunday, September 11, 2016, as “A Day to Remember,” in memory of those who lost their lives during the most horrific terrorist act in U.S. history.

Members of the American Legion Post 193 will be participating in a ceremony being held Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Pine Island in Irmo along with other legion posts, beginning at noon. Mayor Skip Wilson will be in attendance and present a copy of the Town’s proclamation as part of the program.
