Golf Legend Arnold Palmer Dead at 87

PITTSBURGH, PA (KABC) — Arnold Palmer, considered one of the greatest golfers ever, has died at age 87, according to the U.S. Golf Association.

In a professional career that started in 1955, Palmer had one of the greatest track records in the history of the sport, recording 62 PGA Tour wins and seven major championships.

“We are deeply saddened by the death of Arnold Palmer, golf’s greatest ambassador, at age 87,” the USGA tweeted.

Palmer died in Pittsburgh, Penn. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and six grandchildren.
