LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO) – Deputies with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department arrested a 31-year-old man Tuesday morning in connection with a double shooting that occurred overnight at a Lake Murray apartment complex.
Tashonby Pedrick Wilson is charged with two counts of attempted murder, one count of illegally possessing a firearm during a violent crime and one count of the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to arrest warrants.
Authorities say Wilson was arrested at a Columbia motel with assistance from Richland County deputies.
“Based on information gathered during our investigation, Wilson fired shots that struck two females at an apartment in Boardwalk Villas,” Sheriff Jay Koon said. “Detectives believe Wilson knew both of the victims.”
Koon said both victims were transported to a hospital for treatment and are expected to recover from their injuries.
Wilson is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
