Newberry Soccer to host annual Pink Game this Saturday

newberrywolves.jpgNEWBERRY – The Newberry men’s and women’s soccer teams will host Lincoln Memorial this Saturday, Oct. 8th, at the Smith Road Complex for their annual breast cancer awareness match.

Kick-off is slated for 1:00 p.m. for the women, and 3:30 p.m. for the men.

The women’s team will wear pink uniforms and the men’s team will sport pink accessories to show support to the survivors as well as raise awareness. The teams encourage all fans in attendance to wear pink to show their support.

Teams will have t-shirts, cookies, bracelets, and more available for purchase at the game with all proceeds donate to the Play4Kay Foundation. To get can get involved or learn more please https://kayyow.com/.

Both programs are looking to get back to their winning ways, as they hit the final stretch of the 2016 season with some crucial conference games that could alter their position in the South Atlantic Conference standings.

Prior to Saturday’s Pink Game, the Wolves’ will host a doubleheader at the Smith Road Complex Wednesday, Oct. 5th, against conference foe Anderson.  The women will kick-off at 1:00 p.m. and the men will follow at 4:00 p.m.
