Hurricane Matthew Now a Category 1 Storm

Hurricane Matthew is now (8AM Saturday) a Category 1 storm located just along the coast of Charleston. It will continue to move along the coast toward Myrtle Beach this afternoon, continuing to bring lots of flooding and power outages near the beaches. Closer to home we’re still seeing wind gusts close to 60 mph, which is causing widespread power outages. And our rainfall totals are climbing with up to 6 inches already reported in Orangeburg. Conditions will slowly improve through the afternoon as the storm slowly pulls away.
